What is Curated Content? Content curation is the task of building up a collection of content from other people (Bird, 2021). Using curated content in marketing is a great way of providing your followers with relevant material that aligns with your product/service or brand. But why and how is this useful? Bird (2021) lists three main benefits to content curation: it’s an easy way to source content without having to create it yourself; marketing shouldn’t be ‘all about your brand, and it encourages thought leaders. Not only that, but using curated content is a huge time saver which we all know as marketers, is extremely precious! An effective marketing strategy should include both curated and created content.
